Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt Review: So Milky RICH!
I’ve been a Stonyfield fan for years, so when I heard they were coming out with a new yogurt flavor, I had to try it! The result?
A rich and creamy whole milk yogurt that is as good as it gets. It’s amazing how they were able to take the most basic ingredient—plain yogurt—and make it so much more than just plain yogurt. Let me tell you all about this delicious treat!
How does Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt taste?
The taste of Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt is a very personal preference. Some people may like the taste and others may not, but it all depends on your taste buds and what else you mix it with.
For example, if you mix the yogurt with fruit and granola, then the sweetness from these ingredients along with the flavor from the real milk in this product we’ll make it something extra special.
At least in my experience, the richness of the milk and the quality of the texture is phenomenal.
There are two different flavors that I’ve tried.
The pear spinach mango definitely has a mango aftertaste to it. It’s quite wonderful. However, it’s really subtle. The sweetness of the mango comes out really well and I would definitely give it a win for the mango flavor.
The other flavor is the strawberry beet berry. Again, you could definitely taste the strawberry in it and a little bit of the beat, but ultimately the pride and joy of the flavors come mainly from the richness of the yogurt.
What do I like about Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt?
- It’s so tasty! Especially if you’re into the premium sweet-tangy taste that comes from live cultures.
- It’s a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamin D (a great combination for bone health). Each pouch contains roughly 3/4 of a cup containing about 5 grams of protein and 150 milligrams of calcium. Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium which is crucial to building strong bones and teeth.
- This yogurt also only contains 2.6 grams of sugar per ounce compared to the leading kid’s yogurt which has about 3.5 grams of sugar per ounce.
What I do not like about Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt
I love this yogurt. It is so creamy and delicious. I am not a big fan of skim milk, so for me, Stonyfield’s Whole Milk Yogurt is the perfect option for my morning breakfast routine! However, there are several things that I do not like about it:
- The fat content is higher than other brands of yogurt (3.5 grams (this yogurt) vs 0.7 grams (the competition) of total fat per 100-gram container)
- Sodium levels are pretty high compared to other brands as well (80 mg vs 50 mg sodium per 100-gram container)
- And finally, the price of these yogurts is pretty expensive. I bought about 16 packets for about $17. That makes each pouch roughly over a dollar.
Overall though these aren’t deal-breakers; if you’re looking for something creamy with fewer carbs this could be right up your alley!

What’s the texture of Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt?
I’ve tried a lot of yogurts, but Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Yogurt is one of my favorites. It’s creamy and smooth, with a rich texture that can only be described as “creamy.”
It’s quite thick, almost like pudding. In fact, that’s what I usually eat it as. If you’re looking for something super-thin or runny, like some shakes or smoothies, this isn’t the yogurt for you. The thickness helps give it a great mouthfeel when eaten plain. If there were more water content in here (or less fat), it wouldn’t taste nearly as good!
The flavor also varies depending on how long ago you opened your container. Fresher tastes sweeter while older tastes tangier thanks to fermentation byproducts accumulating over time. Ok you don’t want to go right to finishing my article pick can I go if you don’t sleep by the time we get there you’re not going ok when it gets to 6 if you’re still not sleeping we’re not going you’re not going sorry to me and Alex will go to Mommy and Daddy will go you’re going to stay home tonight
